NEW INVERTER HEAT PUMPS UNVEILED C
alorex has unveiled the I-PAC and V-PAC, their first range of inverter heat pumps,
designed in the UK and available with a three-year on-site parts and labour warranty. The new inverter heat pumps replace the PRO-PAC and come in a side and top outlet with the I-PAC and V-PAC air temperature range from -5°C - 43°C and the I-PAC+ down to -10°C. Inverter heat pump technology
allows for efficient control of the pool temperature with the I-PAC/V-PAC only using what energy is needed when it is required. High efficiency with modulating step-less inverter compressor gives an average COP of 10.3 (I-PAC+), 9.7 (I-PAC) and 10.7 (V-PAC) which is twice as efficient as the older models. With a focus on the environment and complying with the new F-Gas
regulations in Europe, the new heat pumps will use the low Global Warming Potential (GWP) refrigerant R32. It will require less refrigerant volume per kW and is easier to reuse and recycle. Wi-Fi is built into the I-PAC and
I-PAC+ machines with an App for remote control. They can also be set to two modes, ‘boost’ for quick start-up and ‘whisper’ for super quiet day to day running. This is a great feature as it lets you control the temperature of your swimming pool remotely, so it’s always ready for you to dive into when you get home. The new Calorex inverter heat
pumps will be sold exclusively by Certikin in the UK.

ECLIPSE SLATS REACH ANOTHER LEVEL L
eading automatic slatted cover manufacturer, Ocea, believe their new Eclipse profile design is taking
slatted solar heating covers to another level. Crucially, the Eclipse connection protects each profile joint, giving greater benefits over other slatted covers, so dirt or algae between the slats is a thing of the past. All polycarbonate Eclipse slats
are improved with a UV layer and a seamless colour match across the entire cover. Offering easy maintenance for both cleaning and repair the improvements enhance solar heating by up to 10 per cent. “The new Eclipse cover has a
connection that is designed so that there are no breaks in the solar coverage improving the solar heating capability of our covers, keeping the strong but flexible joints between each slat but with improvements for easy fitting and quick replacement,” explains Ocea Sales Executive,

range is offered with improved algae prevention.
Michael Witney. “Maintenance of individual sections
now have the added benefit that the joints completely cover the water surface leaving no way for algae or dirt to be trapped in inaccessible areas meaning that the cover stays cleaner and requires far less maintenance,” Michael continues. “This, with the addition of a top
protective UV layer, means the cover will stay fade-free, reducing
the problem of the cover going dull over time, extending the lifespan of the product. “All this added value and the slatted
cover still retains its flexibility which allows it to travel on and off the pool effortlessly without the need for ropes or pullies.”
