Festive Dining

Christmas is a time of year for families, friends and workmates to come together more than any other to have a great time and celebrate, dine, drink and have fun. It’s a season of parties, pantomimes, night’s out and goodwill all round.

From November, right up to Christmas Eve, offi ce parties are in full swing; restaurants and pubs are alive with revellers; the shops are open all day and until late into the evening to give us plenty of time to buy a few festive gifts around busy work schedules and a hectic festive party schedule. There’s a defi nite Yuletide buzz in the air too with

most town and city centres ablaze with Christmas lights and decorations, adding to the ambience of the season. But when it comes to the offi ce party, or pre-Christmas get together with mates or friends who are home from university, fi nding the right venue is crucial and worth spending some time thinking about. There is a tremendous variety of venues to choose

from during the festive season with high quality menus and entertainment across Suff olk for a fun night out. What is beyond doubt, however, is the importance of giving your Christmas nights out some early thought.

In fact, now is the time, as the more popular places are already getting booked up, particularly for the prime Friday and Saturday night slots. Whether you want a pub meal where you can have a few drinks fi rst, or a nice restaurant where you can enjoy an aperitif or a prosecco before sitting down to dinner, choose your venue carefully so it suits your whole party and then get booked up so as not to be disappointed. Pubs and restaurants in the outlying towns and villages, are just as busy at this time of year as those in the city centres. Most have a set festive menu with a number of options,

plus cater for those with gluten or dairy free or other dietary requirements so non-one misses out on the Christmas meal. Whether there is fi ve, 15, 20, or more, most locations can cater for groups of all ages and sizes and will ensure the festive offi ce party, seasonal drinks, or pre-Christmas dinner goes with a swing.
