David Jones David is the bread guru behind the wood-fired oven at Manna From Devon Cookery School. As a passionate baker and co-owner of the acclaimed cookery school he teaches a variety of bread courses that can turn the most yeast-averse bakers into regular experts!


Will Lyons For more than a decade Will Lyons has written a weekly wine column, first for The Wall Street Journal now for The Sunday Times. His humorous, informed, down-to-earth writing has been recognized in both the Glenfiddich and Roederer wine writing Awards. He is also Vice President of The Sunday Times Wine Club.


Orlando Murrin A finalist in the BBC MasterChef programme - is a popular food writer and editor, best known as the editor of BBC Good Food for six years, the launch editor of Olive magazine and the author of five cookbooks. He now divides himself between writing a monthly recipe column for BBC Good Food and writing a biography of Romanian pianist Dinu Lipatti.


Dr Clare Pettinger Clare is actively engaged in community research around food, poverty and social justice, currently leading the ‘Food as a Lifestyle Motivator’ (FLM) project, which explores creative methods to engage ‘marginalized’ communities in food activities to enhance their health, well-being and life skills.


Ben Quinn One of 7 kids, he grew up around long tables and conversation. He has worked with the likes of Ottolenghi, Honey & Co, Jamie Oliver and Berber & Q. They are more importantly now his friends.His businesses challenge and disrupt the hospitality sector and his Canteen concept is going to change the world.


Hayley & Jonathan Reynolds Have recently established the South West Wine School to provide wine education across the region. This will range from the more formal wine courses to those which are relaxed and fun. Hayley has spent the last 20 years associated with the wine industry and has her WSET diploma. Jonathan shares her passion and is also WSET qualified.

He is a member of the Patagonia Change Makers Community, a Rita Allen Foundation Fellow of the Science Media Awards & Summit, advisor- World Congress of Science & Factual Producers.


Liam Steevenson MW Wine has been part of Liam’s vocabulary for as long as he can remember. Owner and director of Steevenson Wines and Far-Flung Wines, Liam has also been a buyer for Waitrose and became the youngest Master of Wine over a decade ago.


Matt Tebbutt Matt completed a traineeship with Marco Pierre White, moved to the kitchens of Chez Bruce, then a stint at Clarke’s. Matt returned to Wales and transformed the former Foxhunter pub at Nantyderry, winning AA Restaurant of the Year for Wales in 2004. He is currently one of the regular hosts of Saturday Kitchen and Food Unwrapped.


Helen Lloyd After working in the NHS as a Public Health Specialist for a number of years, Helen moved to Dartmouth 16 years ago and has been involved in the Food Festival on and off since then. She has recently blogging (My Delicious Devon) and is often to be found trying out yet another cake recipe in her kitchen.


Rebecca Mitchell Local wine expert Rebecca Mitchell is a wine consultant and wine educator. She teaches WSET wine courses to amateurs and professionals. Rebecca is wine tutor at Ashburton Cookery School, writes for Devon Life Magazine and judges for various wine competitions.


Matt Palmer Matt works with local Devon farmers that work with tradi- tional Devon breeds be they pork, beef or lamb. Most of the farmers have moved away from Native Breeds towards larger breeds that might create bigger years but that sacrifices wel- fare and taste. Matt established a career in Sales & Marketing in the City before opening his own Gastro Pub & Restaurant.


Charlotte Pike Charlotte Pike, an award winning cookery book author, teacher and professional chef. She runs a catering company, Charlotte’s Kitchen and is also the Founder and Director of Field & Fork School social enterprise.


Lori Reich Lori has been producing wonderful jams, jellys and pickles with fruit grown on the family farm in the stunning Teign estuary for many years. She also hosts regular preserving workings in her farmhouse kitchen.


Jamie Rogers He began his career at The Cricket Inn, Beesands. Jamie entered BBC MasterChef reaching the quarter finals and after entering South West Chef of the Year three times, won the Professional Chef category in 2015, also being awarded the title of overall South West Chef of the Year. He opened Twenty Seven by Jamie Rogers, in Kingsbridge in 2018.


Scott & Dave Forest Fungi was first established in 2013 by Scott. He developed a passion, knowledge and understanding for mushrooms and worked on perfecting his indoor growth of different varieties. In 2016, Dave came on board and together they grew the business, began experimenting and growing up to 8 species of mushrooms.


Guy Singh-Watson Guy is an opinionated and admired figure in the world of organic farming, who still spends more time in the fields than in the boardroom. Twice awarded BBC Radio 4 Farmer of the Year, Guy is passionate about sharing with others the organic farming and business knowledge he has accumulated over the last three decades.


Jonathan Sutton Jonathan was born and bred in Stoke Fleming and has recently returned to Devon, after a 30 year absence, with his wife, Suzie, to run the family wine business, Michael Sutton’s Cellar, set up by his father. He has a dogged determination to make wine buying unintimidating for all.


Alissa Timoshkina Alissa Timoshkina came to the UK in 1999 from Russia to study and never looked back. Gaining a PhD in film history. Her passion for cooking and hosting dinner parties, turned into an obsession and Alissa created a cinema-supper club called KinoVino, which offers film screenings and sit-down dinners with unique menus inspired by films.
