Kingsbridge Show 2019 Something for everyone - and so much to see and do!

Kingsbridge. The 2019 show will be held on Saturday 7th September and hopes to be even bigger and better than 2018 which saw a record number of visitors and made a fantastic family day out. The Kingsbridge Show continues to

T

grow locally with trade and craft stands fully booked before the closing date. The show keeps a really friendly feel with traditional agricultural and horticultural roots. Horses feature strongly in the show and have their own show field. Events run throughout the day and judging begins at 9am. There is something to see and do for

everyone from all walks of life. The show offers classes in horses, cattle, sheep, homecraft, young farmers, chil- dren’s arts and crafts and pets, floral art, horticulture and arable. In addition to this there are over a hundred trade stands, craft stands and food and drink stands. NEW for 2019 is a TQ marquee (situated in the craft marquee) showcasing local or- ganisations. 2019 also sees the welcome return of a demo kitchen in the food and drink marquee, provided by Ashgrove Kitchen; here will see culinary master- classes from local chefs such as Malcolm Church from the award winning Bear and Blacksmith in Chillington. There is plenty of free parking and disabled parking can be arranged through the show secretary on 01548 562567 or email kingsbridgeshow@ gmail.com. Alternatively, why not ditch the car and use the hugely popular Tally Ho shuttle service from Kingsbridge Quay running regularly throughout the day.

he Kingsbridge Show is celebrating its 138th year, 64 of which have been at Borough Farm, just outside

Please note the show is run on fields usually holding cattle - there are no specific paths or routes which do not involve traversing the grass. The family dog show takes place

at 1pm and the entries are taken on the day at the ringside.

The show this year has a huge amount of local sponsorship and we cannot wait to welcome the camels and BMX in the main ring. Local bands Cool Beanz and

Sam Fearon will be entertaining the crowds during the day on the Gregory music Stage.
