INBUSINESS VIEWPOINT
One of Milton Keynes Chamber’s key functions is to raise the profile of business and celebrate success so I’m delighted to say we have recently honoured some of our finest young professionals. This summer we ran the inaugural Next Generation
Business Awards at The Northampton Marriott where we shared in the achievements of 15 fantastic finalists and saw five wonderful winners crowned. We launched these awards to recognise inspiring young
people whose achievements are making an impressive impact in their chosen field and it’s fair to say everyone who attended the awards ceremony was blown away by the calibre of the finalists. We’re proud to raise the profile of such brilliant young professionals and hope their
awards success helps them as they continue along their paths to becoming the next generation of business leaders across Milton Keynes and Northamptonshire. You can read more about the Next Generation Business Award winners in The Next
Generation column in this issue of inbusiness and we’ll be publishing a bigger celebration of the awards in our October/November edition. I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank all the businesses who filled in our
latest Quarterly Economic Survey (QES). I’m proud to say we had responses from Milton Keynes businesses representing 60,800 employees during the last quarter. Filling in the QES only takes a few minutes
and the more responses we get the stronger our voice becomes when we’re fighting for the needs of business at local, regional and national levels. Our next QES goes live on 26 August – we look forward to your responses!
