Exposure leads to growth for photographer
Ivybridge-based professional commercial photographer, Tony Cobley has achieved a year of positive growth in a challenging period of business uncertainty. Tony Cobley, who specialises in
photography for business marketing, achieved a net profit increase of 11% for the year 2018-19. Half of the growth was in additional sales turnover and half due to cost savings. Tony, who is a graduate of Plymouth College of Art and an Associate of the British Institute of Professional Photography said: “This was a tough year with lots of caution among businesses and I had to work hard on business retention and development as well as looking at cost savings which didn’t affect quality of output.” Tony Cobley Photography has
Tony Cobley
been a member of Devon & Plymouth Chamber for ten years and greatly values the connections
made through Chamber membership and events. Networking in person and on-line is vital for meeting and staying in touch with the right people for Tony. Tony has avoided reducing prices
throughout this period of “careful spending” by potential clients, instead holding on to quality and believing that: “The best way to retain clients and get recommendations is to deliver the highest quality images, exceeding the client’s brief and not cutting any corners. So although I am competitive, I am not cheap and always allow time to do the job properly.” Tony aims to gain more growth
this year with a mixed client base consisting of large brands, local small and micro businesses professionals and projects for national creative agencies.
