CHAMBER NEWS CHAMBERNEWS

We’ve been listening to our members and non- members in recent months and discussing the many and varied benefits of Chamber membership with them. We have also conducted a thorough review of all the services and benefits we – and other accredited Chambers – have been providing in recent years. Just like many other businesses, we’ve

decided it’s time to modernise things a little, to ensure that we are offering the business support and solutions that are the most beneficial to as many types of businesses as possible, from sole traders to large companies. We have been working up a new membership

model for a number of months now, consulting with our Board directors as well as with a dedicated focus group featuring both members and non-members. We are delighted to say the feedback to making the changes and improving what Devon & Plymouth Chamber has to offer has been overwhelmingly constructive and positive. So, there was great excitement at June’s

Devon Business Show, when the Chamber’s CEO Stuart Elford launched our improved membership model, where businesses choose the membership category containing the services and benefits they feel are best suited to their particular needs. This new approach moves businesses away

from the ‘one size fits all’ approach we have provided in the past, where businesses were charged a fee based solely on the number of employees in their organisation or company. After all, we’re all pretty unique in the way we do business and our new membership model now gives us more scope to offer you the kind of support today’s challenging business environment demands. Devon & Plymouth Chamber will now offer

five new membership categories to businesses, with each category allowing you to buy into a range of services and benefits, all designed to provide you with quality business solutions. Initially, we are rolling out these new membership categories to new members, with our existing members then being contacted by our Membership Team and consulted on which category they prefer prior to the month of their membership renewal. In a major improvement to the Chamber’s

offer, each membership category will for the first time give your business access to free first-rate, quality business expertise through the nationally recognised Quest Four Services. We believe our members deserve protecting and supporting and by investing in these Quest services on your behalf, we will be providing your business with essential employer-focussed assistance and peace of mind including:
