THE BIGGER THE BETTER Large format tiles have been a growing trend over the last few years, and the


tiles themselves are only going to continue to expand even further. Tiles on display ranged from 120mm x 120mm up to 1200mm x 3600mm. Grespania, for example, offers the latter in as little as 3.5mm thick. The move towards the larger tile is mainly due to the advancements in technology, with printing techniques improving all the time and designs based on natural materials like marble becoming more and more realistic. This is also due to the unrelenting industrial trend that continues to permeate kitchens and bathrooms. Larger tiles, being used on walls in particular, perfectly complement the grandiosity and modernity that comes with the industrial style, by opening up the room and creating a clean, sleek finish.
