d07 ISSUE 225 / MAY / 2019 Welcome Welcome to the May issue of Designer Kitchen & Bathroom.

Those lucky enough to have headed to Frankfurt to visit ISH recently will no doubt have come back full of ideas from Europe’s biggest bathroom show. I’ve been covering the biennial event for many years now and I have to say this was the best yet. The quality and quantity of innovative new products was impressive, as were the stands which were imaginative and very well-conceived.

Perhaps even more exciting however, was the diversity of products being presented. It was the most colourful and materially diverse ISH ever, underlining the incredible range of options open to bathroom designers in delivering top quality high-end schemes.

To top it all, several key manufacturers unveiled the fruits of some inspiring collaborations with big-hitters from the design world. We featured Marcel Wanders’ collaboration with Laufen in last month’s magazine, and in this issue, we speak to Roberto Palomba about his radical new partnership with Ideal Standard, with Sieger Design about their latest work with Duravit, and we also marvel at the intricacy of AXOR’s work in bringing the luxuriously detailed imaginings of Jean-Marie Massaud to life.

But as we round-up the best from one amazing exhibition, we also look ahead to another. Don’t miss our preview of this month’s Clerkenwell Design Week. This year marks its 10th anniversary, and it promises to be the biggest and best celebration yet of London’s creative hub.

Enjoy the issue! martin Social
