June 1 World Custard Pie
Championships 2019 Coxheath Village Hall, Coxheath

Come and take part in the 52nd World Custard Pie Championships. The event has been held in the village since 1967, attracting teams from across the globe. The rules are simple. Teams of four, score points depending on where their thrown pie hits a member of the opposing team. With fancy dress optional, teams dress in anything from Victorian regalia to futuristic 2020 outfits, the world famous flan-flinging contest is sure to be a great family fun day out. The event starts at noon.

street acts, competitions, readings and a fun fair. Rochester High Street will be transformed into a Dickensian scene.

Taste the Best Biddenden Vineyards, Ashford

Biddenden’s food day showcases a range of great produce the county has to offer. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet, taste and buy from a wide variety of Kentish producers specialising in cheeses, preserves, sauces and chutneys, pies, fudges, beers and liqueurs, honey, ice cream, wool, crisps, meats and game and much more. With over 40 stalls to browse there is something for everyone. This event runs from 11am to 4pm.

Te Great British Gin Festival 2019 Kent Event Centre, Maidstone
The tried and tested format of this festival features over 100 different international gins, from household names and unusual flavours, to ex- clusive, small batch gins, with a gin glass and gin bible given on arrival to guide guests through their gin tasting experience. Entertainment includes talks and trade stands, cocktail demos, interactive games and a live band, creating a sophisticated festival vibe. Each event runs from noon to 4pm.
