Herb Walk Belmont House and Gardens, Faversham
This relaxing walk will introduce you to different herbs used today and historically to treat illness and maintain health. Learn about the benefits of some very familiar wild plants as well as lesser- known ones. A great chance to see, smell and taste the plants in a beautiful garden setting and reconnect with nature that’s right on your doorstep. Mandy Rickard is a medical herbalist and aromatherapist with a practice that stretches over 20 years. This walk is from 1pm to 3pm. Tickets cost £10 per person.
May 15 Museums at Night:
Te Huguenot Table The Huguenot Museum, Rochester
In this talk, Sara Pennell will explore how Huguenot communities found their culinary
feet in their new communities in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. There will also be an opportunity to explore the galleries as part of this event. The talk will be followed by questions and an opportunity to talk to the speaker. Booking is essential. Tickets are £10, including a glass of wine. The event runs 6.30-8pm.
May 18 & 19 1940s Weekend on Kent & East Sussex
Railway Tenterden Town Station, Tenterden
Enjoy period music, dancers, vehicles, displays and entertainment. Visitors will be given their own identity cards and can enjoy unlimited travel for the day, with steam trains running every 45 minutes between Tenterden and Bodiam. Admission including an all-day travel card is £18 for adults and £12 for children (3-15 years). The event is open from 10am to 6pm on both days.

Dear Zoo Hazlitt Theatre, Maidstone
Rod Campbell’s best-selling lift-the-flap book has delighted generations of young readers since it was first published in 1982. This production will delight all those who have read the book (both young and old) as it unfolds with child-engaging puppets, music and lots of audience interaction. Tickets are £15.50. The show starts at 1.30pm and 4.30pm on May 22, and 11am and 2pm on May 23.

Bat Walk Bore Place, Chiddingstone
A nocturnal quest to see bats and their amazing aerial ac- robatics and other night time animals. After a short introduc- tion about these fascinating creatures, you’ll be guided on a night walk around the farm, along farm footpaths, using bat detectors to listen out for bats as they leave their roosts and fly out to catch insects. This event is from 8pm to 10pm. Adult tickets are £8 and child tickets are £6. Booking is required.
