The recipient of this year’s Pharmacy Hero Award has shown a high degree of dedicated commitment to delivering outstanding service to both her own community and the pharmacy sector in Northern Ireland - a service, which has been vitally important, given that the nearest GP surgery is more than five miles away!
Corinna’s insight into the community’s needs is evidenced, for example, by her involvement in placing a defibrillator at the pharmacy, ensuring community access and training, long before this became widespread.
For many years now, Lisbellaw Medical Hall has also facilitated a broad range of community projects, not only under the umbrella of Building Community Pharmacy Partnership, but also in projects in conjunction with groups such as

Cruse Bereavement Care. This is in addition to Corinna’s regular charity fundraising and sponsorship of local youth sports teams.
Her provision of a variety of health initiatives has allowed a high level of accessibility and penetration into all levels of the community, providing an invaluable link into health and social services through the pharmacy.
Throughout her pharmacy career, Corinna has demonstrated an inspirational work ethic. Her interaction with the community goes above and beyond what is expected of a community pharmacy and she is truly the ‘go-to’ person for the healthcare needs of her community.
As such, she is an inspiration to all other pharmacists.
