ROBERTA TASKER BOOTS, BURN COOKSTOWN

For almost 40 years, Roberta Tasker has held a wide variety of roles - most recently working in one of Boots’ busy health centre pharmacies - caring for her patients, the local community and her work colleagues.
Anyone who knows Roberta will know she is always professional, with patient-centred care at the forefront of everything she does, making her an excellent role model to the pharmacy team.
Using not just her years of experience but her own initiative, Roberta continues to ensure the best possible patient outcomes are delivered daily in her local community. Without fail, she goes that extra mile for her patients – a fact, which is often remarked upon in patient feedback. As one of her many community- orientated projects, Roberta helped
initiate a new Building the Community Pharmacy Partnership (BCPP) project in partnership with Mid Ulster Victims’ Empowerment, which aims to promote wellbeing and prevent isolation and loneliness in the over 60s, helping to empower them to lead more active lives.
Over the next few months, she will also support the delivery of a health-orientated programme, reaching out to those most at risk in the community. Roberta’s ambition is to help deliver information that will improve attendees’ health and wellbeing, and will support the ‘Health & Wellbeing’ theme of the Mid Ulster Council Ten-Year Community Plan, which aims to improve health and wellbeing of residents.
