Applause Rural Touring
needs your help! This Tunbridge Wells-based Arts Council non-profi t organisation works with artists and promoters, taking well-priced live performance into the community and fi lling village halls and other venues with music, dance, theatre and storytelling. Last year 30,000 people in 92 locations attended one of its events. Applause is looking for new trustees for
2019. Director Dawn Badland (below) says: “Rural communities are at risk of further isolation, particularly for those with limited mobility. Applause works to ensure that small communities are not marginalised from a cultural offer, experiencing high-quality, accessible and affordable events.” • Visit
