The Horder Centre, an orthopaedic hospital in Crowborough run by the charity Horder Healthcare, has scored well above the national average for its care environment in a patient-led assessment. It was one of 270 healthcare organisations in England assessed for cleanliness, food and hydration, provision of care with privacy and dignity, and meeting the needs of patients with dementia or a disability – and its scores included 99.71% for cleanliness and 88.66% for meeting the needs of patients with dementia compared to the national averages of 98.5% and 78.9%.
