We’ve asked our readers and followers to tell us about the resources they love, and what they’ve bought with their hard- earned cash...

54 SPRING 2019 pta.co.uk 1 Reading Eggs

When we asked our readers what their PTAs bought for their school, one thing that came up again and again was technology subscriptions. Reading Eggs is a digital resource designed to help teach children how to read and develop a love of reading. It features hundreds of phonics and comprehension lessons, a library containing 2,500+ eBooks, creative writing areas and a teacher toolkit. ‘The children love creating their own “Eggsplorer”. It really motivates them, and they don’t realise they are mastering vocabulary and spelling at the same time.’ Dianne Kenny, teacher, Brookdale primary school, Wirral, Merseyside.
