PAUL’S ON THE UP AT RILMAC

Rilmac Scaffolding Ltd has appointed Paul Wallis to the role of Director – Southern. Paul will be based at the

Rilmac Depot in Northampton and have responsibility for the whole southern region, including London and the Home Counties. The Northampton Depot

has seen impressive growth since opening just over three years ago and Paul will be looking to grow on the success, overseeing such prestigious projects as the scaffolding for a new student accommodation village at Warwick University. Paul has over 30 years’

experience in the scaffolding industry and his depth of knowledge will be a great addition to the team at Rilmac as they continue to grow nationwide and explore new opportunities. In his free time Paul likes

driving fast cars and attending motorsport events. He is hoping to get away from the grid quickly as he settles in to his new role!

EXPANDED STORE IS LIKE A ‘MINI HARRODS’

Luxury lifestyle store Bell of Northampton has officially opened its long-awaited £250,000 7,000 sq ft store extension. The new, larger store houses four concessions – an

independent gifting and accessories retailer; a smart home technology specialist; a deli of locally-sourced produce called The Cheese Kitchen @Bell; and an art gallery. The building of the extension has also seen changes

take place inside the older part of the store, with the creation of a 110-seat day restaurant, introduction of a large Christmas shop and 90 additional car park spaces. A major outdoor and barbeque space, three times

the size of the current outdoor department, is also being created. This is in addition to the vast range of kitchens, bathrooms, stoves and outdoor items already available in the store. Bell of Northampton now measures 20,000 sq feet

and has started trading on Sundays for the first time in its 120-year history. All together these changes have created 11 jobs. Managing director Graham Jackson said: “It’s taken a

lot of time and effort, along with many months of meetings and research to get the right companies involved and bring my vision of the extended store to life.

“We can now confidently say we are the ‘go to’

home and lifestyle store in Northamptonshire and we look forward to welcoming customers old and new to see what we have to offer.” Cllr Tony Ansell, the Mayor of Northampton, officially

opened the new extension by cutting a ribbon. He said: “I can only describe the place as a mini Harrods! Something for everyone and at affordable prices.”
