Ten per cent of employees at Crick-based national logistics and warehousing company The NX Group have recently undertaken Diplomas, NVQ Awards and other qualifications in work-related subjects. The NX Group, which has


warehouses covering nearly 100,000 sq ft and 37 vehicles, employs approximately 70 members of staff, and supported seven of them as they studied for exams through local colleges. Key account manager David

RECRUITS BEGIN TRAINING


Nineteen new recruits have begun careers at the Northampton and Milton Keynes offices of financial and business advisers Grant Thornton after securing places on the firm’s industry-leading training programme. Eight graduates and eight school


leavers are joining the Audit team, while two graduates and another school leaver are starting with the firm’s Tax team. During their training, the recruits


will study for professional chartered accountancy qualifications whilst gaining valuable on the job experience.


In 2013, Grant Thornton opened


its training programme to more people when it became the UK’s first professional firm to remove academic barriers to entry to focus on individuals’ talents, values and potential. It also introduced online interviewing and coaching for all candidates pre and post interview to widen the diversity of applicants. Independent analysis shows
