DACHSER HAS A DEAL WITH SUPERSTORE
Dachser UK, part of the German- owned Dachser organisation, a major international logistics provider, has signed a new five- year contract with the fast-growing retailer Aldi. The company will provide a warehouse platform as well as UK and Ireland distribution services for a wide range of the supermarket chain’s products. On the back of the additional
business, Dachser, recently signed a lease on a new warehouse, adjacent to its existing logistics centre along Thomas Dachser Way at Brackmills business park. Dachser opened its own
purpose-built integrated logistics centre in June 2014, consolidating operations that had previously been spread over various sites. It also became its UK headquarters – an integrated logistics centre occupying a 7.4 hectare site that represented, at the time, an investment of £23m. Now the adjacent facility, which comprises a warehouse of just over 16,000 sqm, adds to Dachser’s footprint under a 10-year lease agreement.

organisation is a major international logistics provider with total sales of £5.41bn last year. Dachser has been established in the UK since 1975, and has had a presence in Northampton since 1983. The company’s other UK locations are Rochdale, Dartford and Bristol. Dachser aims to be the supplier of choice for European logistics
