BACKGROUND – TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOU… I originally come from the Fens, then went to University in Nottingham to study photography in 2010. Just as I graduated, I got the opportunity to move down to Northampton and have lived here now for five years.
WHAT DOES YOUR JOB INVOLVE? The joy of my job is no two days are the same. One day I can be managing a client’s social media channels and the next I can be taking photos for a promotional campaign in another part of the country. I get a real kick from looking after and delivering for clients, whether it be through the digital marketing side of the business or the creative side.
WHY DID YOU JOIN NEXT GENERATION CHAMBER? My boss, Ash, recommended I joined. Most of the clients we work with are in senior positions within their businesses, so Next Generation Chamber is a great opportunity to mix with my peers who will be those ‘directors of tomorrow’.
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR FAVOURITE NEXT GENERATION CHAMBER EVENT AND WHY? The personal development session on handling stress in the workplace was absolutely fantastic. It made me look at leadership and how to handle pressure in a new way, and I was talking about it to everyone I saw for the following week – which is a good sign for sure.
WHICH NEXT GENERATION CHAMBER MEMBER DO YOU ADMIRE? WHY? I’ve met some really lovely people at Next Generation Chamber so far but I get on really well with Megan Bartlett from Robyn Allen Solutions. She’s full of energy whenever I see her and is really passionate about what she does.
WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU’VE LEARNED FROM NEXT GENERATION CHAMBER? I think it’s that traditional networking models may change in the future. The way people communicate with one another is changing and I think networking groups/organisations will have to adapt to those changes to keep going.
