New German ElektroG Act to cover almost all electrical and electronic goods in mandatory
registration The new German ElektroG Act will come into force on 15 August 2018. The Act will introduce a number of changes according to the EU WEEE Directive, notably extending its scope to cover goods with an electrical/electronic function and changes to the categories of equipment to be registered. By law, electrical and electronic goods need to be registered before they can be placed on the German market.
Manufacturers, distributors and importers will need to check if and how their products are affected, as furniture and clothing with an electrical function, such as bathroom cabinets with illuminated mirrors and shoes with light-up soles, may now require registration under the new Act.

received! I am always very pleased to hear from Agents telling us how valuable our assistance has been for them when faced with aggressive & cut-throat Principals. Generally all that is needed is a sharp rap across the knuckles with the help of our Secretary General and/or our legal team & “Voila” - a good outcome is generally forthcoming!
Please bear a thought for The MAA when you bank the Indemnity / Compensation payments.
Any donations however large or small – be it to the general fund or specifically to the Benevolent Fund would be gratefully received. It would help us maintain & improve the service that we can give or to help those less fortunate than ourselves in times of need.
Also a lasting legacy for you. Please contact the office for our Bank Details!
MAA Agents News 15 Donations gratefully
