been taking part in really fun activities that they would not normally get the chance to do. They have completed the following; obstacle courses, making and eating fruit flapjacks, orienteering and making and eating fruit kebabs. They have also tried pizza crumpets, street dance, making fruit smoothies, tennis games and playing parachute games. For many of the children they hadn’t tasted or tried many of the fruits and healthy food snacks before and they were extremely brave to try things they weren’t sure of. Lots of children found they really liked things that they hadn’t had the opportunity to eat before. The children love the fun active sessions as they are different from their regular PE
lessons and the confidence that these children have shown in the sessions is great! We have also invited parents along to help out at some sessions, which has been very successful.
The 28 January was a big day for Primary Change4Life Clubs in Wiltshire. The day started in Devizes school, hosted by School Games Organiser Vicky Richardson. There were 15 staff joined by 20 students from across the Mid and West Wiltshire School Games Areas.
Focusing on the concept “Move More, Eat Less, Live Longer” the staff spent two hours looking at how a Change4Life Club could impact their whole school, and most importantly the health and wellbeing of the Young People that take part in the sessions.
