Brits prefer blonde

Blonde is the nation’s most popular dyed hair colour of choice, suggests new data from market research specialists Mintel. The report claims 42 per cent of Brits

who coloured their hair last year went blonde, with 18 per cent going for platinum blonde. Meanwhile just over a third of hair dye users decided to go brunette, with 17 per cent choosing red/auburn and eight per cent going for black hair. Mintel beauty analysts say around

three in 10 British women are natural blondes, with almost half (48 per cent) being natural brunettes.

DIY lavender salt scrub

It’s easy to make your own body scrubs – try this and watch your skin glow…

Ingredients: 2tbsp sea salt 1tsp dried lavender flowers 2tbsp almond oil 2 drops lavender essential oil

Method 1. Use a pestle and mortar to grind the sea salt if you want a finer scrub.

2. Grind the lavender flowers to a rough powder in the pestle and mortar.

3. Mix all the ingredients into a paste and use immediately.
