Make lunch your biggest meal, say
experts If you have irregular mealtimes or eat too much too late at night, you may be out of sync with your natural body clock, say experts working in the field of chrono-nutrition. But being in sync with your body clock, they say, may be better for your health. In an interview with the Daily Mail,
Dr Gerda Pot, a visiting lecturer in nutritional sciences at King’s College London, explains that everyone has a body clock that determines the optimal time for all their metabolic processes. “That suggests that having a large meal in the evening is actually, metabolically speaking, not the right thing to do because your body is already winding down for the night,” she says. Dr Pot says there’s evidence to
suggest we should make lunch the biggest meal of the day instead of dinner.
Keep eating fish for a healthy
heart Health experts have been advising people to eat fish for their heart- health benefits for years. And now, further studies suggest this advice is as important as ever, say experts from the American Heart Association. The association suggests eating fish
– especially those rich in omega-3 fatty acids – may help reduce the risk of heart failure, coronary heart disease, cardiac arrest and the most common type of stroke. Fish rich in omega-3 fatty acids
include salmon, pilchards, sardines, mackerel, herring and fresh (not tinned) tuna. According to the NHS a healthy diet should include at least two portions of fish a week, including one of oily fish (a portion is around 140g).

• 71 per cent consider mental health to be a taboo subject at work
• 40 per cent believe it's better to stay silent than to speak out
• 63 per cent have had mental health issues but just 20 per cent have spoken to their boss about them
• 27 per cent left a job because of the impact it had on their mental health
• 68 per cent think employers should do more to understand mental health problems
