Biggin Hill Festival of Flight 2018 looks back over 100 years of RAF History. Throughout its RAF history, Biggin Hill played a key role in air defence. Strategically positioned close to London, Biggin Hill was proud to be an RAF fighter station but it is best known for its contribution to the Battle of Britain. This unique event held at Headcorn Aerodrome has a variety of vintage and modern aircraft displays, on the ground and in the air. A family event which includes static military vehicles, living history re-enactment groups, arena events, military stalls, children’s entertainment and food stalls to make this a perfect day out. Now in its ninth year! The Lashenden Air Warfare Museum will be open both days and there is a small charge to enter. The Museum is one of the longest established aviation museums in the country, having been formed in 1970.
