I personally work on a 9 o’clock to 3 o’clock swing for the shorter distances (between 30 and 60 yards), and then increase to 10 o’clock to 2 o’clock for shots of between 65 and 110 yards. We are all slightly different so practice with different clubs and find your own distances.

Practicing this drill at first without a club in your hands as just making a few rehearsal moves will help you feel the rhythm, and take the desire to hit at the ball away from the swing.

Increase to 10 or 11 o’clock to 1 or 2 o’clock. As long as you have a consistent clock face process, you will achieve consistent results. Do your very best to swing with the same tempo and focus on your hands and arms getting to the desired positions on the clock face.
