A wonderful miniature success!

There are so many vis- itors and locals with fond memories of the little train that used to run alongside the estu- ary, all of whom were delighted when it returned in 2017!

Kingsbridge’s own miniature railway, with a wonderful new engine and carriages, has been running for almost a year and can literally be described as a miniature success,

transporting more than 6,000 passengers in its re-launch year! Local businessman Steve Mammatt form - ed the Kingsbridge and District Light Railway Company to bring the little train back to the town, sup- ported by many train lovers, local business- es and visitors to Kingsbridge Embankment.

SUMMER!

Have you ever won- dered why this lovely part of the world is called the South Hams? What life was like here and what it looked like in the past? Come and find out in the Kingsbridge Cookworthy Museum, and discover how local people have lived, worked and played over the centuries. The Museum is open Monday to Saturday during the season, with eight galleries of local history and inter- est for all ages, as well as quizzes, drawing and dressing-up for the children (and free entry for under-16s).
