Double celebration for SFB Group
A Leicester-based firm of chartered accountants, wealth managers and business growth specialists has double reason to celebrate as it launches its new offices. SFB Group, which incorporates
longstanding Leicester firm Hayles, has recently moved from Castle Street, in the city centre, to modern premises at Leicester Forest East. The move coincides with a
complete company rebrand, which has been rolled out across the whole business. SFB Group provides a wide range
of services including accountancy, wealth management, tax advise, corporate finance, forensic accounting, business advice and marketing services. It has offices in Leicester, Hinckley, Nuneaton, Coventry, Wakefield and London. To celebrate the rebrand and
relocation, SFB Group is giving away a valuable tax card to all Leicestershire-based Chamber members. The tax card, which contains all the latest tax rates for 2018/19, is enclosed with this magazine (for Leicestershire-based members) – however businesses outside of Leicester are also welcome to receive a tax card by getting in touch.
Students sweep accolades at University Trading Challenge

The trio also took home the prize for Best Team Presentation, and Jake won Best Portfolio Trading Individual. exclusive to the capital markets and gives students an opportunity to sharpen trading skills. As first prize winners, the
students will have access to the same summer internship training programme that is delivered to top investment banks through financial market training provider Global Markets Academy. Martyn Kendrick, Deputy Dean
of the College of Business, Law and Social Sciences at the University of Derby, said: “Many
congratulations to our winning students for this well-deserved success in a very prestigious event. To win three of the top awards is a fantastic achievement against stiff competition. “This is the fifth year in a row
that our students have won awards in the University Trading Awards, which is real testament to their hard work and the support that the team of academics give in preparing the students for this competition.”
