Raising a glass to award wins

Derby Brewing Company has announced that three of its CRAFTED range beers are now SIBA (Society of Independent Brewers Association) regional award winners. It was announced that Wild

Bear – an aggressively hopped five per cent IPA – has been awarded Gold at the SIBA Independent Keg Beer Awards 2018. Midnight Raven – a dark and robust 4.8% crafted porter – was given Bronze in the same category. The two new accolades join Rock Python – a crisp 4.2% German pilsner – which won Silver in the 2017 awards. The awards ensure that

three out of the five beers in the CRAFTED range, launched in July 2017, now have highly respected industry awards to their name. Director Paul Harris said:

“It’s an honour that three of our CRAFTED beers have received these prestigious awards, showing they are up to the standard of our well respected and multi award winning core ale range.”

Office move paves the way for Delta-Simons growth

Environmental consultants Delta- Simons has announced it has acquired a larger office in Nottingham, having outgrown its previous premises in only 11 months. The firm, which has offices

across England and Ireland, opened a Nottingham office in April 2017 in the City Gate East building on Tollhouse Hill, but quickly outgrew the space. It has now relocated to its new 990sq ft office at Castle Heights, on Maid Marian Way. The new space will enable the

firm to further expand its Nottingham-based team from six to ten over the next 12 months. Delta-Simons is a UK-based but

globally-operating environmental consultancy that provides technical advice and support on projects throughout the property and construction sector. Over the past year, the company has experienced rapid growth across its network of locations but particularly in the East Midlands region. Paul Bennett, Delta-Simons’ Unit

Director for the Midlands region and lead of the Nottingham team,

said: “2017 was a fantastic year for us and our Nottingham team has grown faster than anticipated to meet the demand for our services. “Nottingham is a dynamic city

and our objective to have a presence here was to be closer to existing clients and our active projects and we couldn’t be happier with how the office is

performing. Moving to a larger space in the city so soon is wonderful and we are really grateful for the support we have had from the local property and construction community. “It’s an exciting time for Delta-

Simons and it’s great to be recruiting further in the city. We look forward to a busy 2018.”
