Top marks for Babington Group at awards


Babington Group, one of the UK's fastest growing national training providers, has won the top training provider title for the East Midlands at The Times’ Best Companies Awards, in London. University impresses on awards shortlist


The shortlist for the Student Nursing Times Awards 2018 has been announced, and it’s been another bumper year for the University of Nottingham. The university and its staff


and students picked up 13 nominations across 11 award categories in this year’s awards, which aim to recognise the cream of the crop among the student nursing community. Head of the university’s


School of Heath Sciences, Professor Joanne Lymn, said: “We are yet again thrilled to have received so many shortlisted nominations in what was a record-breaking year for entries – a measure of the quality of the nursing education that we are providing and the calibre of the students which we are lucky enough to attract here at Nottingham.”


REC accreditation for Encore Personnel


National recruitment agency Encore Personnel has attained Audited status with the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) for the seventh time. Headquartered in Leicester


with further offices in Nottingham and Derby, Encore was assessed against the requirements of the Employment Agencies Act, the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003 and the REC’s Code of Professional Practice. REC Chief Executive Kevin

Morningside Pharmaceuticals in stadium naming rights deal


Leicester Arena and Chamber Strategic Partner Morningside Pharmaceuticals have agreed a three- year naming rights sponsorship deal. The arena will now be known as the Morningside


Arena, Leicester. The 3,000 capacity stadium is the largest of its


kind in Leicester and, as well as being the home of the national basketball club champions, the Leicester Riders, it has become the go-to venue for a wide range of sporting, entertainment, religious and comedy events and a venue for a wide range of community activities. Dr Nik Kotecha, Chief Executive at Morningside,
