For the last few years DPPA (Dunblane Pre-school Play Association) has unfortunately struggled with low enrolment numbers.

As a result, from

June 2017, it was agreed that we were no longer able to off er funded places for pre-school children in partnership with Stirling Council. In an attempt to avoid closure, we decided to adapt our service (with the support of a community vote) and since August 2017, we have off ered a Playgroup facility for 2-5 year old children.

We had hoped that our new format would meet the needs of local families in Dunblane, but sadly, our low enrolment numbers at Playgroup suggest that this just isn’t the case. Despite the best eff orts of the staff who have created a wonderful happy environment for the children and the positive feedback we have had from parents, the demand for spaces isn’t high enough to be sustainable in the future.

Unfortunately, the Committee have therefore taken the sad decision that we will close the doors of all our groups at the end of this academic year. Beyond this we will be looking to dissolve the charity. This decision has not been taken lightly as none of us wanted to see this service go. We would like send our heartfelt thanks to all staff and Committee members, past and present and all the families in Dunblane who have supported us over the years we have run.

Reminder ! Doune Tourist Information has moved to beside the The Woodside Hotel in Doune

Once again Dunblane Free Church really looks forward to welcoming you and your children to Easter Craft for Kids!

We enjoyed the company of well over hundred young people and their parents/ carers at Christmas Craft for Kids and are getting ready for another busy and engaging kids craft extravaganza (and a relaxing and chilled event for the grown ups!).

Easter Saturday (31st March) from 11am to 4pm. Build an Easter scene, eat home baking, decorate a suncatcher, paint an egg, drink hot chocolate etc, etc! The event is free! The kids are welcome to collect/ show off their creations at the Craft for Kids Family Service at 11am on Easter Sunday!
