They say time flies when you are enjoying yourself, and that is certainly true when talking about The Dunblane Fling! Doesn’t seem like any time since we were celebrating the 21st Fling, and now we’ve reached the grand old age of 25….


So what are your memories of The Fling over the years? We’d like to make our 25th Fling even bigger and better than before, so do you have any particular memories from the last 25 years – were there any performers you really enjoyed, or what didn’t you like? What do you always enjoy, or always avoid?

Fling 2018 will be held from Thursday 24 May to Sunday 27 May. The venue for the indoor events will be different this year – we’re moving to The Dunblane Centre, and while there will be all the elements that go towards making The Fling weekend so enjoyable for all the family, the Concert is moving to Sunday night this year. But when the choice was to have Phil & Ally on Sunday night, or not at all – well, there was only one answer!


If you enjoy The Fling, would you like to be part of the team that makes it all happen? Some of the current committee have been involved for most of the 25 years, so who knows what some new blood could bring to future Fling weekends? Committee.


But you don’t have to join the There are lots of elements that


come together to make a successful Fling weekend, so all sorts of skills and experience can be useful. A few hours here and there from one or two people could make a big difference.
