ABOUT: Te Association of Wire Rope Fabricators was incorporated in 1976 by a group of concerned businessmen who felt there was a need for sling fabricators and special rigging components manufacturers to join together to form a trade association. Over forty years later, AWRF stands as one of the foremost lifting/rigging and load-securement associations in the world. Twice each year, the industry’s leading companies gather at AWRF’s annual membership meetings to examine common interests that include manufacturing, fabricating, or distributing lifting, rigging, and load securement devices made of chain, rope, and synthetic products.


ATTENDEES: Wire rope, cordage and sling fabricators, as well as rigging component manufacturers and suppliers from around the world.


HIGHLIGHTS: Jack Gibbons, President of Metro Wire Rope Corporation, presently serves as Chairman of the AWRF Program Committee. He reports, “We are pleased to announce that this spring in Scottsdale, AZ, we have


speakers such as Kris “Tanto” Paronto, who was one of the Army Rangers that charged into Benghazi to save American lives.” He continued by noting that, ”two(!) US Chamber of Commerce members, Caroline Harris and Tom Sullivan, will speak about current tax reform and small business updates. We also welcome back industry technical speaker Rolland Verreet (Wire Rope Technologies) with more to follow as we finalize our schedule.” He added, “We are also pleased to announce that at the fall meeting in San Antonio, TX, speakers will include the remarkable Oliver North, United States Marines Lieutenant Colonel RET., plus additional informative speakers designed to capture the attention of our audience. We are confident the selection of speakers will positively impact our members, as topics discussed are relatable to the current business climate.”
