Funeral fi rm puts smile on kids’ faces
Hundreds of children in care across Kent received unexpected Christmas presents –
thanks to local funeral directors Welham Jones, which has branches in Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge, Sevenoaks, Chislehurst, Chelsfi eld, Swanley and Borough Green. The family-run fi rm collected more than 400 presents from staff, business associates and
members of the public following an appeal by Borough Green resident Melisa Robinson. The presents were handed
over to Kent County Council in West Malling to distribute to youngsters in care and living with foster families. “We have always been part of the local communities that we serve, so we were delighted to help out with Melisa’s appeal, especially as we are running a year-long charity campaign called 25 for 25 to commemorate our 25th year in business, in which we are fundraising for charities in multiples of 25,” commented Welham Jones Managing Director, Simon Welham.
