cessful implementation and execution. Because outdoor spaces are unique, some may not offer an amenity that is taken for granted in an indoor space, such as electrical power - or restrooms.”
To Anello, hosting an event in an out- door, unique space offers planners and their guests an array of bonuses on top of the beauty of being surrounded by a natural backdrop. “Besides fresh air and natural light, outdoor events offer more freedom than indoor events and a change from the typical event held indoors,” says Anello.

Anello also feels like mixing up an event’s location and changing from one’s standard “go to” indoor facility can be an exciting way for planners to offer something fresh and unique that will draw attendees interest to the event.
“I think it becomes challenging for plan- ners to get their people to eagerly attend and look forward to meetings,” explains Anello. “Planners who are obli- gated to populate their meetings and events do not want to be a part of what the attendees call the ‘Rubber Chicken Circuit,’ and sometimes just providing an enticing menu is not enough - they need to change up the formula. The outdoors offers a unique experience, and experiential meetings encourage
