Face shape and libido: are they linked?
It may sound far fetched, but scientists from Canada believe they’ve discovered that the shape of your face may predict how high – or low – your sex drive is. Writing in the journal Archives of Sexual Behavior, the
experts say men and women who have shorter and wider faces are more motivated sexually than others. It’s not the first time face shape has been studied in this
way. Previous reports, the scientists explain, suggest men with square faces or a high facial width-to-height ratio are generally more aggressive and more dominant, and are more attractive as short-term sexual partners than men with thinner and longer faces.

Factors that affect PSA test results If you’ve ever been screened for prostate
cancer, chances are you’ve had a prostate
specific antigen (PSA) test. However, most men don’t realise that certain things can influence their test results, including:
Medications Some medicines can alter the amount of the PSA molecule produced by the prostate, which can affect the results of a PSA teat. One of these medicines is a common prescription medicine used to treat male pattern baldness.
Infections If you have a urinary tract infection or prostatitis – inflammation of your prostate gland – your PSA level may be raised much more than normal.
Sex and physical activity Your PSA level can also be affected for 24 hours after ejaculation and also by cycling for a long distance, which can put pressure on the prostate.
If you’re having a PSA test, have a chat with your GP beforehand if you think any of the above may affect your results.
