IT WAS A return to the Bristol Marriott Royal for the PDA Annual Conference weekend in November. Attendees arriving on Friday enjoyed a relaxed social evening and were entertained with some great music from Daniel Morgan-Hayes. After a replenishing breakfast Members attended an instructive business

seminar morning on Saturday. These informative sessions aimed to offer decorating professionals a wide range of advice, product information and training opportunities. Thanks go to Airlite, HMCA, Wright Hassall, Ann Cook Associates and CSCS. In the afternoon Associate Members were on hand with product

demonstrations and information from Owatrol, Ann Cook Associates and Airlite. For those considering spray painting there was an opportunity to try out handheld machines from Graco and a rundown of exciting new product developments from Wagner. The Gala Champagne Reception and Dinner provided a grand finale to

the busy day. During the course of the dinner, guests were entertained with jazz singing from Tony Benedict. After dinner, the evening event then moved

on to the Apprentice Paperhanger Competition. The competition is made possible with sponsorship from Brewers and it was Simon Walmsley from the decoratoring merchant who announced the winners. After dinner guests took to the floor with music from Daniel Morgan-

Hayes, Paul Dobie and Tony Benedict – back by popular demand. PDA CEO, Neil Ogilvie, offers his thanks to the sponsors for the event

Brewers, Wagner, Solvite, CITB, Dunlop Pro Décor, Owatrol and Purdy. The event would not be possible without this industry support.
