Maersk Training has developed an open water version of the Global Wind Organisation (GWO) Sea Survival course, which is conducted in realistic outdoor training facilities at the Port of Blyth

The course, which used to be solely run in an indoor pool environment, has been successfully running in this format for over two years offering participants real life, hands-on experience, whilst also providing them with an essential qualification for getting a job in the offshore industry.

“Delegates train on a working Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV), so they get an accurate representation of what it’s really like to work on these industry standard vessels. There really is nothing quite like it and no better course to prepare them for a future career in the industry.”

Upon completion of the GWO Sea Survival course, which runs over one

Extensive range of practical skillsets Although the focus of the course centres on the principles for surviving at sea, by the end, delegates will have achieved a basic knowledge in an extensive range of practical skillsets.
