Next Level Grants Awarded to Five Sonoma Musicians and Bands
Santa Rosa, CA. ~ Sonoma County Taiko will host an Open House on Saturday, September 30, 2017 . It will be held from 10am to 4pm at 3325 Regional Parkway Suite 11, Santa Rosa, CA 95403.

taiko, and more. This event is open to the public and free of charge.
Alexa Riner, president of the Sonoma County Taiko board of directors says, “Our mis- sion is ‘to build a community of acceptance, harmony, and respect through our love of taiko,’ and we invite people to come see who we are and what

SONOMA COUNTY, CA. ~ Creative Sonoma, a division of Sonoma County’s Economic Development Board, is pleased to announce five recipients of Next Level grants in the amount of $2,500 each. Grant- ees are Sonoma County musi- cians and bands who have dem- onstrated they are ready to take their careers to the next level. Grants will be paired with ten hours of one-on-one consulting with music industry experts to help accelerate the impact of the grant funds. “The music community in Sonoma County is vibrant and diverse,” said Supervisor Shirlee Zane, Chair of the Board of Supervisors. “Building on these musicians’ existing talent by
providing
funding and access to music in- dustry expertise will come back manifold to our own communi- ty’s vitality and livability.” The 2017 Grantees are: DyaTribal Band (world music); Manzani- ta Falls (indie rock); Marhsall House Project (funk); Oddjob Ensemble (world music) and Alan Hall (jazz). Funds will be used for projects ranging from new recordings, touring, video projects, and album promotion. This program is made pos-
