Santa Rosa, Ca. ~ Beer brings people together and crosses gen- erations. You can wander into any brew-pub or tap-room and fi nd a sampling of millennials, gen-Xers and baby boomers en- joying their favorite recreational beverage. The Craft-beer indus- try is exploding and we are fi nd- ing tap-rooms opening in out-of- the-way places and doing quite well.
This month, we are going to re- view Tyler Smith’s Cooperage Brewing Company, located at 981 Airway Ct. Ste. G, Santa Rosa, CA.
This is located in a light- industrial center sandwiched among small wineries making limited production wines. I will admit I used my GPS to fi nd Cooperage, and it was worth the search. Tyler has built his business from

as a homebrewer over 12 year ago, he has developed award- winning recipes, covering all styles of beers. He fulfi lled his dream by open- ing Coo- perage Brewing Company on June 25, 2015. With
limited produc-
tion, he is able to work the craft, fi ne-tune and modify his recipes. Because his production is lim- ited, and demand is high, he is just able to keep tap fl owing to satisfy patrons at the pub. Lim- ited by his brewing equipment, but this is about to change. He is getting ready to expand his brew- ing with new tanks and fermen- ters and soon will be able to offer growler fi lls, so you will be able to enjoy his brews away from the tap room.

Owner of Sasha, Jane Bender, the former mayor of Santa Rosa has been coming to Western Farm Center for over 4 years now. Little Sasha is a Norwich Terrier and is 10 years old. Her pet will eat anything, which isn’t always the best for Sasha, she tells us. She comes here to buy Wellness Dog Food®

house. The front portion is built out as tap room. Family and dog friendly, there are classic board games available
to play while you en- joy your favorite beverage. Water is available for dogs. There is no regu- lar food service, but they do offer
some packaged snacks and there are food trucks that are parked out front on occasion. Beer comes in so many styles and tastes that you are sure to fi nd a favorite. On the day we visited they had seven brews on tap. They offer 5 ounce tastes for $3 and pints go for $5. The brews we tasted consisted of a Belgian, an Imperial Stout, three Pale Ales and two IPAs. Each beer had clever names and lists their basic stats. OG stands for Original Gravity and is a way of measuring how much ferment- able sugars are present. IBU is for International Bittering units. IBU will reference the bittering of the hops. Hops work to pre- serve the beer, as well as fl avor it. ABV is Alcohol By Volume. We all know how that works. Abbie Dabby Doo is a Belgian
Pale that pours with rich amber color with an OG of 1.053, IBU of 28 and ABV of 5.9%. This is a classic Belgian with fruity fl a- vor and mild hop, and if you are a fan of the Belgians you will love

JOKES & Humor # 5 A woman called our
airline customer-service desk asking if she could take her dog on board.
“Sure,” I said, “as long as you provide your own kennel.” I further explained that the kennel needed to be large enough for the dog to stand up, sit down, turn around, and roll over.
The customer was fl um- moxed: “I’ll never be able to teach him all of that by tomorrow!”
I went on a fi eld trip with my son’s classroom last week. But as soon as we got into the building, everything swam before my eyes. “Where did you go?” To the aquarium.
