Teacher and PE Coordinator, St Mawes Primary School, Truro (49 pupils) told us: ‘We wanted to provide a variety of sports and  also looking for something that supported a positive attitude and provided children with a method  learning. During our application for Healthy Schools we came across Class Yoga and thought this would be a great way to utilise part of our Sport Premium budget.


We now use Class Yoga for lots


of purposes – it makes a great  as a relaxation session at the end of a busy day or sometimes as an opportunity to regain focus. It has helped some of our children with posture and encourages the more energetic pupils to slow down and take their time over their movements.  such as handwriting! The children love Class Yoga.


They like the way the movements – and how they should breathe – are explained throughout each action.  “dragon” and “candlestick” poses being the children’s favourites. The staff are impressed with how it is  The team at Class Yoga have been very supportive in ensuring the programme runs beautifully and the website is regularly updated with new sessions suitable for all ages.’ An annual subscription to Class Yoga costs from £200 for schools   Sign up for a free ten-day trial via the website.
