The Dorset Diary “Spiritual Healing is Growing!”

by Jane Butterworth, Spiritual Health Practitioner

Like all beautiful plants that grow and bloom, then die back and regrow the following Spring, the growth of spiritual healing is branch- ing out as well! In the UK the loving act of giving healing energy to others was and is a great comfort to many, a source of peace and clarity that is difficult to achieve when living a modern Western life. All forms of spiritual healing have the same aim and that is to liberate the whole of your being from the effects of the stresses of modern life, rebalance the energies of every cell in your body, help protect you from further potential damage to your mind or body and then ground you and realign you with the Divine Source. This keeps you spiritu- ally and psychically clean and safe, allowing the body and mind a chance to heal. There are many types of healing

and some take these aims much further to delve into deeper entrenched energy blocks that need a more profound approach. More on this later!

At the root of this is personal self-healing using spiritual meditation practices, to dis- solve negative energies held within the Auric fields. There can be a strong visualisation element to this, which you can do for yourself, work with your Spirit Guides, or by using a good pre-recorded CD. For example, you can imagine the 7 main Chakras and sendWhite Healing Light to each, spinning out the negative shadows and replace them with pure heal- ing Light containing positive energy, vitality and colour, such as red for the Base Chakra, Orange for the Sacral Chakra, and so on. You can then move on to the 4 main parts of the spiritual layers of the Subtle Bodies: the Etheric, the Emotional, the Mental and finally, Spiritual Subtle Bodies. Here you could imagine spinning out and dissolving the impact of known negativity and stress, as well as the energies of other people and unwelcome experiences impacting upon your Aura. So this is a conscious form of self-healing, a pro-active act of self-responsibility, looking after the health of your energy fields and aligning yourself with your Higher Self, your Guides and Divine Light. You can enhance such a practice using a favourite crystal such as Amethyst, Celestite, Smoky Quartz or natural Citrine, among many wonderful choices available today. Using a grounding crystal is also helpful as it helps with the overall realignment and refocusses your mind, adding to your psychic safety too. Black Tourmaline, Hematite, Garnet, Ruby and Red Jasper would be classic choices. You should feel much lighter in yourself after a good meditation, your mind should feel clearer and more focussed, perhaps even more inspired, and your overall physical energy levels will have a chance to recover. Always remember to close down and ground your energies afterwards, sealing in the new Light vibration and to ensure psychic safety .

Climbing up this spiritual tree of healing, another way to receive this transformative energy is to go to a Healer and peacefully receive healing energy channelled by them. An experienced Healer will not only give healing to every part of your body, the Chakras and
