STURMINSTER MARSHALL FÊTE Saturday 15th July, 2-5pm Around St Mary’s Church and opposite at the Old School (BH21 4BU). New this year – donkey rides and rides on a miniature steam train for children. All proceeds to St Mary’s Church. Free parking available in the village. Dogs are most welcome!
PILFORD HEATH TRANSPORT & HERITAGE SHOW 15th and 16 July, 10am til late Arena events for all the family to enjoy, featuring: live steam engines, cars, motorcycles, commercial vehicles (vintage and modern). Craft marquee. Day and evening entertainment in the beer tent. Bouncy castle, slide and face painting. Plenty for all to enjoy. Entry £6 adults, children 0-15 free.
CREAM TEA AND MUSICAL EXTRAVAGANZA Sunday 16th July, 2.30-5pm At St Mary’s Church, Lytchett Matravers, BH16 6BS. “Back by popular demand! Our next tea will feature a musical extravaganza! Come down to listen to music to soothe the soul, get the feet tapping or bring back happy memories – something for all tastes. Our talented musicians play all musical genres. Bring your children and grandchildren to join in music making that can be continued at home! To end a happy time, why not stay to evensong at 6pm.”

LYTCHETT MATRAVERS FLOWER, CRAFT AND PRODUCE SHOW (AT THE VILLAGE HALL) Saturday 5th August, from 2pm “We hope once again to provide a lively and interesting show of vegetables, fl owers, craft, photography, art, home baking and preserves. Also teas, a plant stall and tombola. Schedules giving details, recipes and entry forms are available from the village library and Arden Nicholson estate agent. Entry Forms will be collected on the evening of 31st July in the entrance foyer of the village hall.”
