HORSEBRIDGE

ARTS CENTRE Opened in 2004, and located in the heart of the town on a site that has a long tradition of community and cultural activity, the centre offers a packed programme of events all year round. It has a distinctive sail-shaped roof with a large balcony close to the sea.

WHITSTABLE

MUSEUM & GALLERY This quaint 1700s building with art, artefacts and displays celebrating Whitstable’s seafaring history, is tucked back from the High Street and housed in the Foresters’ Hall. Its largest object is the town’s first horse drawn fire pump, which was manned by 26 volunteers and donated to Whitstable by the Norwich Union Fire Insurance Society in 1867.

PLAYHOUSE

THEATRE Whitstable’s very own theatre is home of the Lindley Players and Lindley Players Youth Group, who regularly perform classic and contemporary productions. The theatre itself was a church bought by some of the players in the early 1980s and who then converted it themselves.

ART GALLERIES The modern day renaissance of Whitstable was started by groups of artists who appreciated its light and open skies – and today it continues to thrive in the form of galleries, exhibitions, pop-up venues and open- house weekends.

Situated right on the beach with stunning views across the sea, The Bubble brings you a taste of the Mediterranean in Whitstable. Our menu combines original Middle Eastern recipes with local produce, so you can enjoy a freshly-cooked mezze along with a Kentish cider or ale, finished off with a hand-crafted coffee and home-made cake. • beaCH Walk, WHitStable Ct5 2bp, Call 01227 634748
