JUNE Summer Sundays Bandstand Concerts

For a chill Sunday why not head down to one of our fine city’s beautiful parks with a picnic and the famalam to catch bandstand concerts from the likes of 3pm, Norwich City Concert Band, Great Yarmouth Brass and Norwich Accordion Band from 3pm all summer. Tere’ll be action in Chapelfield Gardens, Mousehold Heath, Eaton Park and Waterloo Park, so keep an eye on the website to see what’s what when.

Snuff Box Teatre present an award- winning new play about revenge porn. Tree women and two men swim in shame. Everyone’s exposed. Everyone wants revenge.No one’s talking about it. Five candid stories about revenge porn and all its victims. Blush is a slap in the face and a call to arms, and a sadly all too current issue for all ages. Cutting edge theatre at its finest, miss this and miss out.

28 JUNE Illuminating Alice Norwich Arts Centre

Writer, Performer, Cabaret Hostess and part time MtoF Retro Girl Miss Alice d’Lumiere chose her name, her clothes and her gender and is now premiering a brand new one person show; the culmination of a year’s worth of celebratory adventures in cross-dressing, role reversal and jumping stripy tights first through the Looking Glass of Gender. Expect wordplay, extravagant frocks and a touch of Lewis Carroll.

30 JUNE - 01 JULY Summer music at Eaton Park Café Eaton Park

Every Friday and Saturday in June, July and August check out the free evening gigs at Eaton Park Café. Enjoy dinner, drinks, tea and cake at the same time in the beautiful, quirky and intimate surroundings of the café, now run by Te Bicycle Shop peeps. Confirmed so far are the bluegrass sounds of the Kentucky Cow Tippers on 3rd June, finger picking guitarist Jack Benjamin on the 9th and folk guitarist and singer songwriter Phoebe Troupe on the 16th. 30 JUNE Te Rocky Horror Picture Show Holkham Hall

Do the Time Warp again, this time in a stunning countryside location when cult classic Te Rocky Horror Picture Show comes to the big screen at Holkham Hall on the North Norfolk coast. Why not dress up? Bring a picnic or buy supplies at the Hall, a blanket and your mates, and have a night to remember. Tey’re also shoing Grease on 1st July. Te screening starts at 21:15.

30 JUNE - 01 JULY Sensing Nature Tornham Magna

Head out of the city to Tornham Walks in the Suffolk countryside to experience the woods in a new way by focusing on sounds. A sound trail has been created by Tactile Ensemble, created and performed by visually impaired amateur and professional vocalists and instrumentalists. Hear natural, composed and improvised music and sounds – you can even travel around the trail blindfolded to gain the most from the performances. Shows at 5pm on Friday and 12pm, 2:30 and 4:30 on Saturday.
