Beach Union High School District in Southern California, reported Zonar is used to track bus locations and perform electronic vehicle inspections. Te district has 51 buses and 50 drivers. Hutchings said the district is now adding video cameras on all new bus purchases, and is also using BusHive for field trip requests and billing. Hutchings said he is researching routing software that works for the organization and that features “value and ease of use.” He estimated that the final cost of the equipment and services saved the district about $3,000 to $5,000 per year, which was roughly what he forecasted. Plus, Huntington Beach saved about as many hours of employee time. “I cannot put a value on the additional safety it has added to our organization,”
