his popular event was once again host to an amazing variety of competition and high- performance vehicles, from home and abroad. They included cars used for record-breaking, racing, rallying, sprinting, hill-climbing, auto- testing, grass-track racing, cross-country and, new to the Museum, classic stock cars.
These covered all eras, from the 1911 ‘Golden’
Ford Model T driven by Chris Dunmore, through the 1935 Ford 48 classic stock car of Angela Greenway and a 1955 type-39 ‘Bobtail’ Cooper driven by Robert Searles to the unique 2010 Nissan 35GTR GT1 of Shaun Lawless. Many of the cars took to the Mercedes-Benz World circuit and Test Hill during the day, with the Campbell

Car Park occupied by members of Farnborough District Motor Club, giving visitors the chance to try out auto-testing for themselves by taking passenger rides in club members’ cars.
Rally cars were out in force with a number of ex-works examples present. Amongst these were a Ford Escort Twin-Cam, Lancia Stratos, Lancia Delta Integrales and a Metro 6R4. Not to be out- done, there was a good cross-section of circuit racing cars, which included the Museum’s Napier-Railton, a Dulon Formula Ford, MG TF, Cooper-JAP 500, a DTM replica Alfa Romeo, Volkswagen Golf, McLaren MC1 Can-Am car and a March 712 Formula Two car.
