Reindeer Run The Reindeer Run, set in the beautiful grounds of Woburn Abbey, is held to raise funds for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI). Every entrant will receive a free


T-shirt and pair of reindeer antlers with a red fl ashing nose and can take part in one of three events. There’s a 10km run (for ages 15 and above) and a 5km run (for ages 10 and above). For those who want to join in the fun, but don’t want to run, there’s also a 1km Santa Saunter, open to all ages. Hot drinks and mince pies await on the fi nish line. Participants can choose from a range of locations, from London’s River Thames and Manchester’s Salford Quays to the scenic setting of Lake Windermere in Cumbria and Loch Ness in Scotland as part of the Monster Swim challenge. Grand to Grand Ultra Early bird registration is now being accepted for the US Grand to Grand Ultra race, giving participants just under a year to train for this self- supported 268km challenge. The six stage, seven-day event


starts at Arizona’s Grand Canyon, one of the seven natural wonders of the world, and culminates at the summit of the Grand Staircase – an iconic geological formation in Utah. The route takes in a desert landscape of sand dunes and red rock canyons. Details: www.g2gultra.com
