take us back to that conscious- ness, only we can. As life pro- gresses, we are able to recognize our need to reconnect with the authentic voice we were born with. All through our journey we have the ability to go back to our perfection; the soulful core and connection to our pure knowing- ness. At all times we can pull ourselves back into the light of divine guidance, back to our bal- ance and clarity. We just have to connect with the divine power within; we have to use our faith.
I have used faith as a tool to transform my life, to transition me from my fears to discovering my power.
Faith is not tied to a specific religion but rather our personal connection to spirituality. It is our interpretation of our beliefs that we want to manifest in our physical experience. Faith is the driving force behind all desires. Faith ignites desire and desire is the energy that is the power of creation in our lives. Faith showed me the action steps I needed to take in my life. Everyone can hold this power- ful magnetic force; nothing can take it away except your lack of belief or negative thoughts. In the same manner, we have the ability to multiply it.
To connect with faith and our divine power within, we do not have to go to any specific church or service. We can wake up and choose to embrace it every morning. Faith is always available
to us, no matter what we do or how we behave. It doesn’t judge one over another. And in life, we never really lose faith; it just be- comes misplaced in the darkness of our soul. However, once we learn to tap into our divine guid- ance and step back into our light, the brilliance of Faith comes shining through.
When I am unsure, I reach out to my faith; it assures me and comforts me when I am in pain. I reach out to faith when I feel I can’t go on in a situation, it lifts me up and it places me back on my spiritual path. To reach out to my faith, I perform a type of spiritual practice, using medita- tion, prayer and journaling to become centered in my higher consciousness. I highly suggest that everyone find a spiritual practice to help them step back into their light, especially in times of crisis, when they may be feeling anxious and recognize the need to let go of self-sabo- taging behaviors.
A spiritual practice is something that we make personal to our- selves. There is no wrong or right way, but we need to take time to slow the chatter of our minds down from the daily distractions so that our higher voice can come through and guide us on our path. Use meditation and journaling as tools for self-dis- covery and transformation.
Here are some suggestions for you:
• Create a sacred spot in your home for your own spiritual practice • Use the same spot every day to meditate • Enhance your experience with a beautiful candle or flowers • Put together a collection of small artifacts that have a special meaning to you • Display them on a tray or some altar • Listen to some soft chanting or Tibetan music to aid you in relaxing and getting present
At first the mind may be restless, but with time, the mental distractions will slow down and open up to a different voice. We will begin to experience the peace and love of the divine guidance emerging from the soul. A light will begin to shine on our path and our abil- ity to make choices will become clear. We will start to stand in our power; and understand who we are and our true purpose for living. Everything will start to make sense and we will begin to release those things that no longer support our journey. We will under- stand that we are perfect just the way we are.
