Livingand A New Way of Being By Marlise Karlin
There has never been a time like this when ideas can circle the planet in a matter of minutes; when we can access an experi- ence of our essential nature – and through our interrelatedness share that magnification across every apparent cultural divide We can shift from the elemen- tal patterns of our ancestry, of shame, guilt, apathy, fear, and anger into higher frequencies of consciousness correspond- ing with acceptance, reason, willingness, love, and peace. This knowledge coupled with evidence of how this unique time could accelerate extraordinary benefits into our lives, became a driving force, inspiring me to develop a simplistic experiential tool that could assist an awaken- ing of great magnitude.
We are at a crossroad where humanity has the opportunity to evolve rapidly beyond the incre- mental shifts that have brought us from the survival mode of the hunter-gatherers to a future that has the promise of the unimag- ined. Massive technological achievements where humankind can interact with one another on a global level are now defining unprecedented possibilities.
I was fortunate to hear lectures given by Don Johanson, the paleoanthropologist who estab- lished The Institute of Human Origins, where he spoke of humanity ever-so-slowly evolv- ing – into a consciousness that could create today’s technology. He considered the leap in evolu- tion from the Neanderthal to the

next stage as having occurred when they began trading with one another – in other words, when they had found a way to ‘… be in communication’. And isn’t that what is so uniquely special about the 21st century where we are interacting with one another globally as never before?
In Power vs. Force, Dr David R Hawkins reviews the stages humanity passes through in our evolution.1 The 29-year study he describes is especially insightful regarding the ener- getic frequencies of human behavior. In this and later books he explains the transitions from an ego-dominated life based on survival to progressive con- scious awareness, and having a
